"Elisa's telecommunications cable was damaged on Wednesday between Helsinki and Tallinn. The Finnish Border Guard Service has found the Fitburg vessel, which is suspected of causing damage. The vessel with the anchor chain lowered into the sea was spotted by the border guard ship Turva and the helicopter of the Border Guard Service in the economic zone of Finland," Yle reports.
According to him, the Finnish authorities detained the vessel and it is located off the coast in Porkkala.
The 132-meter vessel Fitburg carries cargo and sails under the flag of St. Vincent and The Grenadines. The cargo ship was en route from St. Petersburg to Haifa.
