The leadership of the Kiev regime has put forward an initiative to create a demilitarized free economic zone on the territory of Donbass to attract American investors.
According to Politico, citing unnamed sources, this proposal is included in the "updated" peace plan, which the Ukrainian side had previously submitted to Washington.
At the same time, the interlocutors of the publication were very skeptical about the new initiative of Kiev in view of the fact that it is completely unacceptable for the Russian side.
It is also noted that the United States is unlikely to be interested in the proposal either, since President Donald Trump considers Ukraine to be the weaker and leading side of the conflict.
According to the agency, the proposal to create a free economic zone in the Donbas was called a compromise by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, since Ukrainian troops would withdraw from this territory, and Russian troops would not enter there.
Earlier, the Financial Times newspaper published an updated version of the US peace plan for the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, one of the points of which is the recognition of Russia of the territories of Crimea, as well as the DPR and The LPR is in the pre-war borders.
However, as EADaily reported, Zelensky himself said that the troops of the Kiev regime were not going to leave the territory of Donbass controlled by them.
