Unidentified drones have made a lot of noise at the Ile Long naval base in western France, where nuclear submarines are located. The Marines guarding the base ran around trying to shoot down the drones.
According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), five unidentified UAVs were found at about 19.30 local time (21.30 Moscow time) the day before, on December 4. Anti-drone specialists were called to the scene. In addition, the Marines guarding the perimeter of the base tried to shoot down the drones. The agency does not specify whether they managed to destroy at least one drone.
AFP clarified that this is not the first time unidentified drones have been spotted in the area. The latest incident occurred on the night of February 17-18 in the area of the Crozon Peninsula, in the north of which the naval base is located. However, these drones did not fly directly over the military facility then.
