The meeting of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban with Russian President Vladimir Putin did not begin immediately after the arrival of the Hungarian leader in the Kremlin.
The explanation for this pause was given in a comment to the TASS news agency by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov. He explained that Orban took time out to prepare for negotiations with the Russian president.
"No, they did not communicate one-on-one, Orban was just preparing for negotiations. He was provided with all the conditions for this," the Kremlin spokesman assured.
Recall that the meeting between Putin and Orban took place the day before in Moscow and lasted about four hours. At the same time, about 30 minutes passed between the arrival of the Hungarian prime minister in the Kremlin and the start of negotiations. One of the agreements during the meeting was to shorten the construction time of the Paks-2 NPP.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban called the results of the talks in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin successful. The Russian leader, for his part, said that relations between Russia and Hungary are based on pragmatism and "on the best of what has happened" in their history.
