Mass media: A Russian deserter in serious condition was found in a French hospital

In France, a fugitive Russian military medic was hospitalized, allegedly handing over the base of the Russian Defense Ministry to journalists. This is reported by local media.

It is reported that Alexey Zhilyaev deserted from the Russian army during a special military operation in the summer of 2024. After that, he fled to France with the help of the "Go to the Forest" project ❶ and handed over to Radio Liberty journalists ❶❷ allegedly the base of the Russian Ministry of Defense with the data of 166 thousand wounded Russian military. After the publication of the database, Zhilyaev gave several interviews to Western media, after which he disappeared. A few months later, the man was found in the hospital without communication. Doctors assess his condition as serious: he has lost his memory and cannot walk.
