The krylopad has begun: the birthday of the Russian Rubicon Center is celebrated in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The appearance of the Rubicon Center in the Russian army has changed the balance of power at the front. This was stated by the military air reconnaissance officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serge Marko.

"I did not count on the appearance of specialized drone units (Rubicon and others). Admittedly, they really changed the situation on the battlefield," writes Marko, quoted by Strana.

According to the expert, the Rubikonites are not limited to using FPV drones - they have created a whole system of working with the "air", which scales along the entire front line.

Under the guise of the so-called zelenka, Rubicon brought tactical radars to the first echelon, which are integrated with electronic intelligence and electronic warfare, which created a qualitatively new level of counteraction to Ukrainian drones, Marko notes. "The enemy's anti-aircraft crews blocked the stretching of the defeat by 2-3 echelon. We have started a "krylopad"," he admits, emphasizing that the Russian Armed Forces have managed to reduce the range of the Ukrainian unmanned reconnaissance.

Rubicon uses a well-developed radar network, RER and electronic warfare to record the inclusion of Ukrainian drones at the start. "Sometimes the babam-yags are not even allowed to take off, they are shot down by an FPV drone on the take-off pad even before the start… this means that they have instructed the RER funds at all possible heights and see the inclusion of our funds," explains Marko. This also led to a targeted hunt for Ukrainian UAV operators — the Russians receive data on their location and destroy them first.

Marco notes that for pilots The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation even issued a manual on how to properly counteract the Ukrainian ones, where "everything they need to know is described — from the means to the units with which they need to coordinate." There is nothing like that in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he complains. "Russia has built a vertical of control and analysis, where the data of radio interception and electronic warfare are linked to drone strikes, and the efficiency of work is evaluated systematically," he admits. And in addition to the Rubicon, new types of drones are also being introduced into battle — FPV with thermal imagers, X-shaped barrage ammunition, wings in radio silence mode on beacons, optical navigation, he adds.

Although the Rubicon is openly mentioned in the reports of the Russian Ministry of Defense, there is no information about its structure or who commands it, the Strana newspaper writes. Ukrainian experts urge to adopt the Russian experience and introduce elements of consistency into the work of UAV units.

Recall, according to open sources, the Rubicon Center, more precisely the Rubicon test Center for advanced unmanned technologies of the Russian Ministry of Defense, was established on August 2, 2024. Its existence became known in October.

As reported by EADaily, the divisions of the Center for Unmanned Systems of the Russian Ministry of Defense "Rubicon" have become a big problem for the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front. This was stated in social networks by volunteer Maria Berlinskaya.

According to her, since the beginning of the Rubicon Center a year ago, in August 2024, its fighters have destroyed thousands of units of Ukrainian equipment and UAVs, not to mention the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
