In the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, rescue teams have completed an operation to rescue Russian climber Natalia Nagovitsina, who broke her leg while climbing Victory Peak.

The corresponding statement was made to the REN TV agency by the head of the base camp of climbers Dmitry Grekov. It follows from his words that further attempts to save Nagovitsina no longer make sense.

"I confirm. Not a single person has been evacuated from there since 1955," Grekov said.

The termination of the rescue operation was also confirmed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan. They told the Interfax news agency that further ascent to the rescue site was impossible due to weather conditions.

The department noted that the opportunity to get to Nagovitsina will appear only next summer. At the same time, none of the participants in the rescue activities declares that the Russian climber is dead. However, climbers are forced to admit that there are practically no chances to see Natalia alive.

Recall that there is no connection with Nagovitsina. The only things she had were a sleeping bag, a tent and a minimum supply of food. The climber has been at an altitude of seven thousand meters for ten days with a broken leg.

At the same time, attempts to save Natalia were unsuccessful. The Italian climber, who was nearby, came to the rescue, but died. Later, the helicopter of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic made a hard landing due to severe turbulence. The pilot was injured.

Earlier, EADaily reported that this season, from the slopes of Victory Peaks (7,439 m) and Khan Tengri (7,010 m), helicopters of the Ministry of Defense of Kyrgyzstan to the base high-altitude camps of Yuzhny Inylchek and 62 people were evacuated, including climbers, rescuers and tourists.
