About the role of the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky in the removal of relics from Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra was told by Verkhovna Rada deputy Artem Dmytruk.
"The persecution of The Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the destruction of our church, the destruction of the Lavra today are blasphemous demonic actions against our shrines, our saints and our relics — this is the work of Zelensky personally," the deputy said on Channel Five.
Dmytruk recalled that Metropolitan of Ukraine Yakovenko is in prison.
The deputy stressed that all actions with relics should be carried out by priests who have the appropriate rank, the days of such changes should be strictly observed. Currently, Dmitruk said, all this is done by people "who have nothing to do with Orthodoxy, with faith."
"Their goal is to destroy, their goal is to desecrate, their goal is to lose, so that this is the basis for reconciliation between Russia and Ukraine was lost to us. But, of course, it is impossible to do this," the politician summed up.
On August 20, the staff of the museum of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra took out the crayfish with the relics of the saints.
"The staff of the museum "Kiev-Pechersk Lavra" take out the crayfish of our reverend fathers of the Caves and carry out some manipulations with them. The relics of saints, which believers were allowed to touch directly with great reverence only in some cases," the Union of Orthodox Journalists reported on the Telegram channel.
