India is waiting for Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit at the end of the year. "We were glad to learn about President Putin's visit to our country at the end of the year. And it is very important that the summit sets new directions for development and gives a significant, tangible result in the negotiations. Therefore, I hope that this meeting will give us opportunities to assess our positions in order to prepare for the summit," said the adviser to the Indian Prime Minister.
He also stressed that India highly appreciates the "very good relations" that have been established with Russia.
"This is a strategic partnership between our countries. We interact at a high level, and these meetings contribute to strengthening our relations," he added.
As EADaily reported, on the eve of the US imposed additional duties of 25% on goods from India in connection with its purchase of Russian oil and petroleum products, bringing the amount of duties to 50%.
