Former member of the Russian rock band The Hatters Vadim Rulev and his wife Ekaterina were killed in an accident. This is reported in the team's telegram channel.
"Yesterday our friend Vadim Rulev and his wife Ekaterina died. We grieve. You have been close friends to us, with whom we have been through a lot. Bright memory. Condolences to the family and friends, " the message says.
According to the Fontanka newspaper, a couple on a BMW motorcycle collided with a Range Rover near Vyborg. According to preliminary data, the musician on the right curve of the road incorrectly chose the speed and lost control. The motorcycle flew into the oncoming lane, where it collided with an SUV. The 35-year-old musician and his 33-year-old wife died on the spot.
As part of The Hatters, Rulev performed for about four years, playing the trombone. In 2020, he left the band and joined Yaroslavl Academic Governor's Symphony Orchestra.
