The Government of the Russian Federation has decided to tighten the rules for transporting children by road.
The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. It is published on the official government portal of legal information.
The document prescribes to clarify the SDA — a clear definition of the concept of a child restraint system is given. This is a design that is designed to transport children in cars.
The resolution specifically stipulates that straps, retainers, seat belt linings and other similar items are not child restraint systems.
It is indicated that the requirements for child restraint systems are defined in the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of wheeled vehicles".
The explanatory note to the document notes the government's concern about the situation of adapter certification. Some manufacturers unreasonably received documents that allowed them to be considered full-fledged car seats.
