The decision of the Ukrainian side to postpone indefinitely the acceptance of the bodies of the fallen servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a manifestation of "rare cynicism and disregard for the memory of the fallen."
This was stated in an interview with journalists by the head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Leonid Slutsky. He condemned the barbaric attitude of the Kiev regime to the bodies of those who defended him at the cost of their own lives.
The parliamentarian recalled that the Ukrainian representatives did not appear at the designated place of exchange of bodies in the Bryansk region, although the date was agreed in advance at the talks in Istanbul. Slutsky called attempts to justify the disruption by referring to an uncoordinated date "childish babble."
He accused Kiev of regularly sabotaging the agreements reached. The reason for such actions is the internal obligations of the Ukrainian authorities, including payments to the families of the victims.
"The rotten essence of the Bandera terrorist cell is seen both in Ukraine itself and sane forces in the world. In the war "to the last Ukrainian" they pursue the interests solely of preserving their own power. Even at the cost of actual blasphemy," Slutsky concluded.
As reported by EADaily, earlier the Russian delegation at the talks with Ukraine, Vladimir Medinsky, said that no one came for the bodies of the soldiers, which the parties agreed to exchange according to the formula "6,000 for 6,000".
