London is preparing to overthrow the government in Georgia — SVR

The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service announced the subversive work of the UK in Georgia and attempts to overthrow the ruling Georgian Dream party.

According to the SVR, London finances about 100 associations of youth and students, feminist movements, structures of the LGBT community❶ in order to intensify protest activity and train future militants to resist the police and prepare sabotage.

"The West is annoyed by Georgia's desire to free itself from the obsessive guardianship of liberal-globalist forces with their values alien to the Georgian people. Westerners are particularly annoyed by the fact that Tbilisi — until recently, under Mikhail Saakashvili, the "locomotive of democratization" in Transcaucasia is increasingly turning to the "authoritarian path", putting national interests at the forefront," the statement said.

"The struggle for Georgia" was headed by the British. London plans to significantly increase funding for opposition Georgian NGOs, targeting them to radicalize anti-government activities. With such measures, London intends to shake up the Georgian opposition and return Georgia to the cage of Western states.

"As you can see, the Anglo-Saxons cannot accept Tbilisi's withdrawal from the cage of their unquestioning vassals. The Board of the Georgian Dream causes them undisguised irritation. And London does not care about the Georgian people, who at the parliamentary elections last year unequivocally supported the nationally oriented course of the country's leadership," the SVR notes.
