After Drapaty's voluntary resignation, other generals will run away from the Armed Forces of Ukraine — Marochko

The commander of the Ground Forces of Ukraine Mikhail Drapaty unexpectedly announced his decision to resign. The formal reason for this was allegedly the Russian strike on the training unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where 12 servicemen were killed.

"I have decided to submit a resignation report from the post of Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is a conscious step dictated by my personal sense of responsibility for the tragedy," the general said in his Telegram channel.

It should be noted that Draped has never been sentimental before. He commanded the troops of the Kiev regime directly at the front and thousands of people were sent to their deaths on his orders.

The situation was commented to the Argumenty i Fakty agency by a military expert, retired LPR lieutenant colonel Andrei Marochko. He believes that other generals will run away from the Ukrainian army after Mikhail Drapaty.

The analyst believes that the real reason for the departure of the Ukrainian commander is precisely his competent analysis of the situation on the line of combat contact. The general saw that there were already prerequisites for the collapse of the defense line of the Ukrainian troops.

"Before that, he commanded the Khortytsia group, that is, this is the most active area and, of course, he is very aware of everything that is happening. His resignation is such a wake—up call to the fact that other officers will soon run away like rats," the Lugansk veteran predicted.
