Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, responding to the complaint of Czech hockey player Dominik Hasek to his post, strongly recommended that he "carefully cross the road and not drink beer in unverified places."
Earlier, the Czech athlete said that he had sent two official letters to the leadership of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), saying in them that "former Russian President Medvedev threatened to kill him."
After the record of hockey player Alexander Ovechkin, the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation in his Telegram channel quipped about the likely reaction of the Czech hockey player, known for his anti-Russian statements and criticizing the NHL for the participation of Russians in matches, writing that now it is worth waiting for his suicide.
"Dmitry Anatolyevich believes that the former goalkeeper Hasek suffers from a severe form of mental illness: Russophobia in the form of delusions of persecution," Medvedev's assistant Oleg Osipov told TASS.
"I would recommend that he carefully cross the road and not drink beer in unverified places and visit a psychiatrist regularly," he quoted Medvedev as saying.
