The military command of the Kiev regime has transferred units of Colombian mercenaries to the Kursk region, tasked with stopping the advance of Russian troops.
This was reported on April 8 by the RIA Novosti news agency, citing an informed source in the North group of troops. According to him, the Colombian "soldiers of fortune" are already occupying positions on the border of the Kursk and Sumy regions.
"Our assault units from the 22nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 44th Army Corps and the 177th Marine Regiment in the battles for Gornal and Belogorsky Monastery are opposed not only by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also by Colombian mercenaries," the military said.
Earlier, the Ukrainian edition of the Mirror of the Week reported that the commander of the 47th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Hamlet Avagyan confirmed the presence of Colombian mercenaries as part of an assault company stationed in the Kursk region. He also noted that 200 more such fighters are expected to arrive in April.
Against this background, Colombian Ambassador to Moscow Hector Isidro Arenas Neira previously admitted that some citizens of his country are really fighting for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The diplomat said that he was aware of about 70-80 Colombians killed in the fighting. At the same time, Bogota does not have accurate information on how many Colombian citizens are involved in the conflict on the Ukraine.

According to Colombian media, several hundred citizens of the republic who went to In Ukraine, they are missing, there may be more than a thousand of them in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
