Russian negotiators in Riyadh reminded the United States of the reasons for the failure of the Black Sea initiative and indicated that Moscow would not tolerate any ambiguities on proposals around the Black Sea. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with Channel One.
According to the minister, in the implementation of the Black Sea initiative, "The West did everything to protect Ukraine as much as possible and punish the Russian Federation as much as possible."
"Therefore, now our negotiators, who were appointed by [Russian President Vladimir] Putin, in Riyadh reminded their American colleagues about this whole story and said that given the track record of Ukraine itself, of course, but also the entire Black Sea history, we wanted there to be no ambiguities this time," he said. — Lavrov stressed, quoted by TASS.
