Former US federal prosecutor Jessica Aber, appointed to this post by former US President Joe Biden, was found dead in her apartment in Alexandria, Virginia, the city police said.
According to police, the woman's body was found on the morning of March 22.
"Officers found the deceased woman. The Alexandria Police Department can confirm the identity of the woman as Jessica Aber, 43, former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia," the police said in a statement on the social network X.
Fox News channel reminds that Aber was appointed by Biden and worked as a US attorney from 2021 to 2025. According to ABC, she resigned in January, some time after the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.
