The Russian Armed Forces are expanding the control zone on the right bank of the Oskol River, and are also moving east on the left bank to surround the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region, which is less than 7 km away. This was stated by the head of the Kharkiv Military-Civil Administration (CAA) Vitaly Ganchev.
"If we say that our troops are expanding the control zone on the right bank of the Oskol, then they are gaining a foothold, expanding the zone of influence for a further offensive on Kupyansk. What we are seeing now is that ours are entrenched in the northern territory from Kupyansk and in the eastern territory, on the left side of the Oskol River. I think the liberation will consist in encirclement and further cleansing of the city from the Nazis. There are about 7 km left to Kupyansk," Ganchev said in an interview with TASS.
