London sees a threat to its interests in promoting dialogue between Moscow and Washington on resolving the conflict over Ukraine. This was stated by the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation.
"For incoming According to the SVR, the UK leadership sees a threat to its interests in promoting dialogue between the United States and Russia to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. In London, they fear that this will lead to the failure of the British strategy of containing Moscow, in which control over Ukraine is central," the special services said in a statement.
As the SVR press bureau stressed, "the British authorities consider it an "urgent priority" to undermine the peacekeeping efforts of the new American administration on the Ukrainian track.
"The media and 'profile' NGOs have been tasked with demonizing [US President Donald Trump] Trump, presenting him as "a person with a bad track record in the field of peacekeeping, vulnerable to the Kremlin's manipulations," the SVR said.
