Warsaw is pursuing a stupid and treacherous policy. This opinion was expressed the day before by ex-MEP, and now presidential candidate of the Republic of Poland Grzegorz Brown, who became a guest of Radio Gdansk.
The politician presented his vision of Poland's foreign policy. In an interview with a journalist, Brown stressed the need to normalize relations with neighbors and spoke critically about the current policy of supporting Ukraine. Answering a question about the unpredictability of modern international politics and the polarization of alliances, Grzegorz Braun said that the current situation should not surprise anyone.
"You see, the one who is surprised by this has not done his history homework before. I am not one of those who is surprised when Donald Trump abruptly changes his position, as he did three years ago when Vladimir Putin cured the world of a pandemic. I was not surprised at all, because it's all nonsense, photomontage, pandemic politics and all this incitement to war," the Polish politician said.
In his opinion, "the Poles should not bear the costs of this big game of empires over our heads."
"Dear Editor-in-Chief, ladies and gentlemen, we need to normalize both internal and external relations. Between the Poles and our neighbors, especially the closest ones. We should not enter the warpath, I will not agree to sending the Polish army to Ukraine. You get rising electricity and gas bills. Why not? Because Warsaw is pursuing a stupid and treacherous policy! To spite auntie, we'll freeze our ears off. The French have been buying more and more gas every year for many years. From where? From Russia. They pay cheaper," Brown continued.
According to Brown, energy cooperation with Belarus, which has a nuclear power plant, would be beneficial for Poland.
"We should invest in the energy bridge from the Belarusian NPP. I do not call for holding large festivals of friendship with Minsk, I only call for concluding good deals so that our people, compatriots, Poles pay less, not more," the Polish presidential candidate said.
The ex-MEP justified his position with a pragmatic approach to international politics.
