Official Warsaw confirms that US President Donald Trump has suspended military assistance to Ukraine.
The corresponding words of the speaker of the Polish Foreign Ministry Pavel Vronsky are quoted by the publication Rzeczpospolita:
"According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this is a very important decision, and the situation is very serious."
According to Vronsky, the Americans did not inform the allies of their decision, and now the EU Council is discussing this issue.
"This was made without any information or consultation with NATO allies or the Ramstein group, which supports the warring Ukraine," Vronsky added.
Earlier, EADaily quoted an anonymous high-ranking American official who, in an interview with the Washington Post newspaper, said that the United States was going to stop military supplies to Ukraine.
"The Trump administration is considering ways to stop all current deliveries of military assistance to Ukraine. This will be a response to Zelensky's alleged resistance to Trump's personal desire to resolve the Ukrainian conflict as quickly as possible," the insider said.
In this regard, the correspondent of the British newspaper "Guardian" Dan Sabbagh argues:
"It is difficult to understand how Europe can replace everything that the United States provides, which means that the military situation on the Ukraine will remain difficult. The equipment that comes from the USA is the most capable and most difficult to replace by Europe or others."
