Ex-Prime Minister of Georgia, leader of the opposition party "For Georgia" Georgy Gakharia was pelted with eggs at the Tbilisi airport. The politician was returning from Germany, where he participated in the panel discussions of the Munich Security Conference, where the authorities did not go.
According to the portal "News Georgia", together with Gakharia, the former Ambassador of Georgia to Germany, Elguja Khokrishvili, came under "shelling" at the airport.
The party "For Georgia" stated that the attackers were a "probe group of the hysterical Georgian Dream" and that the police were inactive.
A month ago, Gakharia was beaten in Batumi, in the lobby of the Sheraton hotel. Dmitry Samkharadze, deputy of the Georgian Dream, and Georgy Manvelidze, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Government of Adjara, were seen in the skirmish. Gakharia was diagnosed with a broken nose and a concussion. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze then said that Gakharia was "to blame himself." He threw a cup of coffee at his opponents, for which he received an answer.
