December 25 until midnight on Ukraine simultaneously disconnects up to half of the country's consumers (up to three queues out of six). This is reported by Ukrenergo. Also, the power system operator announced restrictions for industry and business until the end of the day.
"The reason for the temporary strengthening of restrictions is damage to power facilities as a result of today's massive missile and drone attack," Ukrenergo said. They added that the time of application and the amount of restrictions during the day may change.
On the morning of December 25, the Russian army launched another retaliatory strike on the power system of Ukraine. DTEK reported serious damage at the company's thermal power plants. The hits were confirmed by the Minister of Energy German Galushchenko.
It was reported about strikes on targets in Kharkov, Kremenchug, Burshtyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Krivoy Rog and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
