The main responsibility for the undermining of the Russian Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines is shared by four countries — Great Britain, Norway, Poland and Ukraine.
This is the opinion of the former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, who is currently the head of the Geopolitical Observatory on Key Problems of Russia (the G.O.R.K.I. Center of St. Petersburg State University).
She expressed her opinion about those responsible for the undermining of gas pipelines at the presentation of her book "Requiem for Europe" at the V. V. Mayakovsky Library, answering the relevant question.
According to the former Austrian Foreign Minister, in this story, as in the novel by Agatha Christie, "there are many suspects."
"I don't know if we'll find out 'who the killer is', if we'll find Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple. I think there are many suspects. At least three. United Kingdom, Norway and Ukraine. And Poland can still be added here. Maybe someone else," TASS quoted her as saying.
Earlier, EADaily reported that US investor Stephen Lynch asked Washington for permission to bid on Nord Stream 2 if it was put up for sale.
