MEP from Slovakia's Lubos Blaga expressed pride in Fico's visit to Moscow and called it "a slap in the face to Zelensky for his arrogance."
Blaga noted the sacrifice of the Russian nation made in the fight against Western European Nazism in The Second World War. According to him, thanks to her Slovakia has gained the most valuable thing — freedom and peace.
It should be noted that negotiations between Fico and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place in Moscow the day before.
Later, the Prime Minister of Slovakia explained the reason for his visit to Moscow. Robert Fico said that his visit to Moscow was a response to Zelensky's statement about the ban on gas transit through Ukraine.
According to Fico, the Russian president confirmed his readiness to continue gas transit to the West and his actions that could lead to disruptions in nuclear generation in Slovakia. Also at the meeting, the heads of state discussed the settlement of the conflict on Ukraine and bilateral relations.
