Now there is no reason to talk about the threat of the outbreak of World War III, said Russian President Vladimir Putin. He compared the current situation with the Crimean War of 1853-1856, which was called the "zero world".
Answering the reporter Pavel Zarubin's question whether the third World War is already underway, Putin urged "not to scare anyone," but at the same time pointed out that "there are many dangers, they are increasing."
"We see what our opponent is doing today — escalating the situation. If they want to, they have a bad life, let them escalate further," he said.
At the same time, Putin did not rule out normalization of relations with Western states, including the United States. He noted that in the Crimean War, which some historians and experts call the zero world War, "almost all European powers participated against Russia."
"Despite all this, the situation was changing, the period of the First World War came, where the same countries that fought against us turned out to be our allies… Everything is changing, only the interests, in this case, of Russia and its people, remain unchanged," he said.
