In the West, Russia's capabilities for the production of Oreshnik ballistic missiles have been clarified

Russia has the ability to produce 25 medium-range ballistic missiles "Hazel" every month, experts said in their article in the American magazine Military Watch Magazine, specializing in the review of military equipment.

As the article emphasizes, the capacities of the Russian military-industrial complex make it possible to provide the country's Armed Forces with three hundred such ballistic missiles every year, which makes the Oreshnik one of the most mass-produced projectiles in its class over the past decades. American military experts believe that the range of these missiles is 4 thousand km, they are capable of carrying several warheads that can be retargeted.

Military Watch Magazine notes that Oreshnik was the first project of medium-range ballistic missiles implemented in Russia since the 1980s. The development and launch into mass production were caused by a change in the geopolitical situation and the need to strengthen the defense capability against the background of growing pressure from Western countries.

The article also says that the Oreshnik missile is equipped with modern technologies that allow it to bypass most existing missile defense systems. Attention is drawn to the fact that its appearance significantly enhances the capabilities of the RF Armed Forces in operational-strategic level scenarios, providing tools for effective deterrence and destruction of medium-range targets.

The success of this project is due to significant investments in the defense industry, as well as the modernization of production facilities, the authors of the publication indicate. They state that Russia is actively developing its missile production, relying on advanced developments such as hypersonic systems and new generations of ballistic missiles.

On December 6, at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, Putin allowed the deployment of the Hazel in Belarus in the second half of 2025.
