The US and the EU have blocked, but not yet stolen, Russian gold and foreign exchange reserves. This was announced today, December 4, by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the VTB investment forum "Russia is calling!".
"Nevertheless, the United States and the Europeans went to block Russian assets. They really didn't take the last step, they blocked it, but they haven't completely stolen this money from us yet," the president said, speaking about Russia's blocked gold and foreign exchange reserves.
Recall that after the start of the special operation on In Ukraine, the US and the EU have frozen Russian foreign exchange reserves. According to the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, about half, or about $300 billion, has been frozen.
