Thus, for the first time, the White House officially confirmed that Kiev has permission to strike with American ATACMS missiles deep into Russia.

"Right now they have the ability to use ATACMS for self-defense in case of urgent need. And right now, you know, it's clear, this is what is happening in and around Kursk and the Kursk region," Kirby said, quoted by the Strana newspaper.
