Russian troops have completed the destruction of the enemy in the Olginsky forest of the Kursk region

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced that our troops have completed the destruction of the AFU grouping, which was previously blocked in the area of the Olgovskaya grove in the Kursk region.

This is stated in a special military report on the fighting in the Kursk region, which was published on Wednesday, November 20 on the official resources of the military department.

"The destruction of the AFU grouping blocked in the area of the Olgovskaya grove has been completed," the report says.

It is also reported that the units of the North group of forces defeated the formations of the 41st, 44th, 47th and 115th mechanized, 5th Tank, 82nd airborne Assault Brigades, 36th Marine Brigade, 112th and 129th Brigades. territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The fighting took place in the areas of the settlements of Alexandria, Viktorovka, Darino, Lebedevka, Malaya Loknya, Nikolsky, Novoivanovka and Sverdlikovo.

The destruction of the remnants of enemy troops in the Olgovsky forest was also confirmed today by blogger and military observer Yuri Podolyak.

He explained that until today there were still enemy groups there that provided focal resistance. At the same time, they did not attempt to break through, remembering the sad experience of their "twin brothers" who tried to break out of the encirclement two days ago.

For the most part they were destroyed, some were captured, only a few managed to break through. The scattered groups remaining in the forest continued to resist, but by the afternoon of November 20, the clearing of the Bolshoy Olginsky Forest and nearby landings from the remnants of enemy troops was completed.

Earlier, EADaily reported that Russian units from the Center group of forces liberated the Ilyinka settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic as a result of active offensive actions.
