The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, had a telephone conversation with the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives, Brian Mast, about arms supplies to Kiev. He stated this in his telegram channel.
"The main topic is defense support for Ukraine and strengthening our air defense... We are ready to purchase additional complexes from the United States as a strategic step to strengthen our defense," Yermak writes.
In addition, the parties discussed the results of the visit of the Ukrainian delegation to Washington, the results of the NATO summit in The Hague and the meetings of the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky and US President Donald Trump, the situation in the Middle East and Trump's efforts to resolve the conflict with Iran.
"Peace through strength is a principle that can and should work in confrontation with Russia," Yermak added.
According to him, Mast confirmed that "the support of Ukraine in the US Congress remains unchanged," the parties agreed to "maintain a constant dialogue and close coordination in the field of defense, security and joint decisions."
As EADaily reported, the United States cannot distribute American weapons to everyone, they must take care of their own defense. This was stated today at a briefing by Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell. So he commented on Washington's decision to partially stop the supply of weapons to Kiev.
