Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the possible return to the country of the products of automakers from unfriendly countries, expressed confidence that Russians should have access to high-quality cars for less money. RIA Novosti informs about this today, November 14.
"Well, so far we have not heard any official statements regarding European automakers, they simply did not exist, so it is premature to say so. We are talking about the saturation of our market, about competition, because competition leads to lower prices. The main thing is the interests of our motorists, our manufacturers, our consumers, so that they can get better quality goods for less money. Therefore, of course, the state is obliged to do everything possible for this, at the same time not forgetting about its own producers. There is a delicate balance here, but it is always necessary," said a representative of the Kremlin administration.
EADaily previously informed about the opinion of a German expert — his country's car brands may well return to Russia and replace Chinese products.
Journalists also asked Peskov if the Kremlin was surprised by such decisions of European companies, as well as whether Europeans would now be able to compete with Chinese brands. Vladimir Putin's press secretary recalled pragmatism in business, when not only companies, but also entire states act only in their own interests.
