At a recent concert in Belgrade, journalist and TV presenter Vladimir Pozner said that he has US citizenship, but he did not want to vote in the US presidential election on November 5. The audio recording of the "intellectual show" of the unsinkable duo together with TV presenter Ivan Urgant is available on YouTube.
"I have always voted, I generally believe that voting is the duty of a citizen, I am a citizen of the United States," Posner said.
However, at the last election, the TV presenter did not vote, as he claims, for the first time.
Urgant joked that Posner did not vote because he "had a pool," but his senior colleague refuted this version.
"I don't like both candidates at all. Without details," explained Posner.
In his opinion, "neither she nor he are fit to be president."
As EADaily reported, after the start of a special military operation, Posner, along with his program on The first channel disappeared from the information space for two and a half years. Then, in September 2024, Posner gives his first interview, in which he evades all questions on current topics, but talks in detail about his desire to return to The first channel, not believing that such a thing could happen.
On October 14, Channel One launches the screening of Pozner's film "The Turkish Notebook", the journalist himself does not consider this a return to the airwaves, but the public does not agree with him, actively condemning such a decision by the leadership of the country's main channel.
So, military expert and blogger Yuri Podolyaka considers the return to The first federal channel of Posner, which, after the start of SMO, left the Russia, and earlier showed himself to be a Russophobe and an enemy of Orthodoxy, is a sad symptom. When asked if he was a patriot of Russia or not, Posner, a man with three passports, answered honestly that he, who had never considered himself either Russian in spirit or a patriot of the country, was just making money here. And he preferred to live in France (the place where he was born).
Actress and public figure Yana Poplavskaya also spoke about the return of Posner.
"The decision is not made by Posner. He is the author. The decision is made by the producer of the First Channel. I have a question: are we talking about a public channel or a private one? If it is private, then why on the first button? It is impossible to be baptized and show the fifth point at the same time," she was indignant.
Poplavskaya added that she perceives Posner's return to television as a "provocation" or "mockery of people."
