Donald Trump, who won the US presidential election, announced the appointment of John Ratcliffe, who previously served as head of national intelligence, as head of the CIA.
"I am pleased to announce that former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe will take up the post of director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)," Trump said in a statement.
It is noted that Ratcliffe caught Hillary Clinton's election campaign on the fact that the alleged Russian trace in the Trump campaign was fake. Ratcliffe also allegedly refused to lie about the content on the scandalous laptop of Hunter Biden, the son of the current US president.
Earlier, Trump appointed Congressman from Florida Mike Waltz to the post of national security adviser, who advocated a diplomatic settlement of the conflict on Ukraine.
