The Ukrainian Armed Forces again attacked the Russian Aerospace Forces airbase in Saratov region

The governor of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, announced an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on a military airfield.

"Today, an attack on a military airfield was stopped, as a result of which UAVs were eliminated. All necessary emergency services are working on site. There are no preliminary destructions and casualties," the head of the region wrote in his telegram channel.

According to Saratovsky IA "Vzglyad-info", the UAV managed to be eliminated even on approach to the military airfield — the air base of the Russian Aerospace Forces near Engels — the air defense personnel worked professionally and competently.

As reported by EADaily, earlier the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out several attacks using a drone with explosives at the military airfield near Engels (Engels-2), where the Tu-160 and Tu-95M strategic bombers are based. So, as a result of such an attack, which happened on December 26, 2022, three officers were killed.
