A just settlement of the Ukrainian conflict must be found provided that the territorial integrity of Ukraine is preserved. This was stated in an interview with the newspaper Hürriyet by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
Search for common ground between Russia and Ukraine continues, Fidan noted, speaking about the dialogue that Turkey is conducting with both sides of the conflict. Both do not want to look like losers, he stressed.
"We have a special relationship with both sides. We do not refuse to listen to both sides. A friend tells only the truth — this is how we act. A just solution to the war must be found within the territorial integrity of Ukraine," Fidan said.
According to him, fatigue on both sides may lead to a new aggravation of the situation in 2025.
As EADaily reported, Turkey traditionally plays on different chessboards. Trying to establish cooperation with BRICS, it continues to remain in NATO and bend its line, often contrary to Russia's interests.
