The words of the Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris to the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban are unacceptable.

This was stated to RIA Novosti by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto. According to him, Harris' statements demonstrated disrespect for Hungarians.

Thus, the Foreign Minister commented on Harris' speech on CNN the day before. During the conversation, the presenter said that former President Donald Trump likes to talk about close relations with Vladimir Putin, Viktor Orban, Xi Jinping and Kim Jong-un.

Suddenly Kamala Harris interrupted him and called all the listed leaders "dictators, autocrats and those who can perfectly be described by the word 'murderers'."

"It's a scandal to talk about my prime minister like that. This is unacceptable. This is a complete disrespect not only for the Prime Minister, but also for the Hungarian people. We have always shown respect to the American people, and we expect Americans to show respect to the Hungarian nation as well. This kind of statement shows complete disrespect, which is unacceptable, especially in relations between allies," Szijjarto said.

He also stressed that Orban has been prime Minister for 14 years at the will of the Hungarian people. Answering the question about the future prospects in relations between Budapest and Washington, the minister noticed:

"It's definitely not the best start."

Earlier, EADaily reported that US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris said it was necessary to reach an agreement on a cease-fire in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
