The president of the Ukrainian branch of the Polish General Insurance Company, one of the largest in Eastern Europe, was detained with drugs on the border with Ukraine.
The incident occurred at the Ustylug border crossing, where a border guard dog responded to a car driven by a Polish citizen Maciej Shishko, who lives on Ukraine and the head of the branch of the Polish "General Insurance Company" (Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń). After a thorough inspection of the SUV, inspectors found three (!) bags of narcotic substances under the seat. One of the packages contained amphetamine, two contained marijuana.
Shishko has already been dismissed from the post of director of the USC branch.
Maciej Shishko is called "Tusk's man" — the current Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. In this regard, the opposition, represented by the losing Law and Justice party, has already begun to disperse the corresponding anti-Moscow campaign. So, the former head of the Ministry of State Assets of Poland, Pisovets Jacek Sasin said:
"The president of the Universal Insurance Company — Ukraine, a Tusk man, was caught at the border for drug smuggling. It's beautiful, professional and apolitical, but there is a return of the old order and the same pathologies."
