Revival of the Seversky direction and the counteroffensive near Sudzha: immediate prospects

During the week, the operational and tactical situation in a number of areas in the SMO zone has gained a very positive trend. And the areas of responsibility of the North and South groups of troops have become the most effective in terms of advancement.

In the first case, by noon on October 9, two assault backbone units of the South group of forces (Verkhnekamensky and Serebryansky) were able to gain a foothold 3 km east and northeast of Seversk. A day earlier, after intensive artillery preparation by the Uragan and Grad MLRS crews, the above-mentioned skeletons carried out a 5-kilometer throw near Verkhnekamenskoye and an 8—kilometer throw along the Seversky Donets riverbed on the Grigorovka-Serebryanka segment, coming into fire contact with the AFU formations in the Serebryanka building.

As a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces strongholds at the heights in the "Artemonovskoye" tract near Belogorovka turned out to be in a tactical semi-patrol. Now the units of the Russian army are storming these strongholds from the Sharshovoye and Grigorovka Forests. The advanced offensive skeletons of the Southern Grouping of Troops came into fire contact with a large trench-dugout fortification unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located northeast of Seversk, erected on a commanding hill of 135 - 155 m.

So far, no significant progress has been recorded in this area, but immediately after the ascent of the assault groups of the 7th Motorized Rifle Brigade In Russia, on a hill south-west of Serebryanka, all neighborhoods of Seversk will be instantly taken under fire control by the Kornet ATGM calculations, while regular use of relay UAVs will not be required for the use of FPV drones.

In the Kherson direction, counter-battery "duels" are continuing with the use of 152-mm howitzers "Msta-B" from our side and 155-mm CAESAR long-range self-propelled guns from the AFU. Knowing the fact that the RVIA artillery units as part of the Russian Ground Forces are still armed with 152-mm guns with a barrel bore length of 47 calibers, the ballistics of which provides a firing range of guided shells with ZOF95 Krasnopol-M2 shells up to 27 km and uncontrolled active-reactive shells "Cormorant" — up to 33.1 km The enemy adheres to the tactics of preparing firing positions for its howitzer artillery at a distance of 33 — 40 km from the Dnieper riverbed.

The range of our "Msta-B" and "Hyacinths-B" does not reach their firing positions, while their high-ballistic guns with a length of 52 caliber guns and a range of HE ERFB BB active—rocket projectiles hit up to 53 - 55 km. This issue, as we noted earlier, is being solved by initiating by our defense department a self-propelled gun development program, represented by a 152-mm 2A88 gun with a length of 52 caliber on the Voshchina chassis. In the meantime, the old 2A64 guns will be placed on this chassis, there can be no talk of any counter-battery dominance in terms of barrel artillery.

Now, all long-range counter-battery tasks are carried out mainly on the shoulders of the calculations of the Tornado-G and Hurricane MLRS batteries with a range of 40 and 36 km, respectively, as well as on the Lancet-3 kamikaze UAV. Also in this direction, the combat stability of the near-front logistics architecture of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues to be shaken by strikes of the planning versions of the FAB-500M-62 and FAB-1500M-54 with UMPK kits.

In the Zaporozhye direction, assault units of the Dnepr group of forces in small groups (mainly in detachments) advanced to the village of Kamenskoye, overcoming the bulk crossing over the mouth of the Yanchekrak River and gaining a foothold in the building of the Evangelical Christian Baptist church. Fire support for attack aircraft is provided by calculations of 122-mm howitzers D-30 and MLRS "Grad". However, two days earlier, the enemy had transferred reserves from Veselyanka and Stepnogorsk and with the fire support of calculations of 120-mm mortars and shock FPV drones was able to restore physical control over the strongholds on the northern bank of Yanchekrak near the street. Factory. Our units were forced to temporarily roll back to the southern shore of Kamenskoye, but retained control over the southern tip of the bulk crossing.

By the afternoon of October 10, on the Kursk front, assault units of the 155th separate Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet broke through the defense of the AFU at the junction of the strongholds between the tracts of Culture and Lyubimovka, after which they carried out a 7-kilometer breakthrough in the locality of Zeleny Shlyakh, blocking the 38K-030 highway, which was logically important for the AFU, which provided the enemy with the possibility of transferring forces and funds to Novoivanovka for distribution to Sheptukhovka, as well as to the Korenevo district. The Lyubimovskaya grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was also covered in a semi-cell.

Today, the platoon tactical assault groups of the 155th Brigade continued their offensive operations in this direction and were able to pin down the enemy's one and a half thousandth grouping in the tactical cauldron formed in the tracts of the Olgovskaya Grove and Kremyanovskaya grove with a total area of 3.5 sq. km. The neck of the boiler is blocked by the Snagost and Korenevsky bones of the GRV "North" 300 m south-east of the quarry and the Goncharka tract. In the second boiler, formed 12 km to the south, there were also several hundred enemy personnel in the area of the Lyubimovka water tower and Lyubimovskaya school.

Meanwhile, Akhmat assault detachments advanced towards the backbone of the 155th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet advancing with intense battles to Novoivanovka from Malaya Lokni (its northern flank), whose main task is to break through to Kruglenke settlement. The establishment of control over Kruglenky may lead to the formation of another 2,000 — 3,000 thousand boiler of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, represented by personnel in the fortified areas of the Cellars, as well as the tracts of Krinitsa and Twisted Forest. More importantly, the AFU formations will lose control over the tactically important wooded hills between Sheptukhovka and Cellars.

The advance of the Russian army units from Sinkovka in the direction of Petropavlovsk is also recorded in the Kupyansk direction. The depth of the breakthrough was 3.5 km with the prospect of consolidation not only in Petropavlovsk, but also in Kucherovka, which in the foreseeable future will ensure the displacement of fire contact with the enemy in the urban development of Kupyansk.
