The former TV presenter of the program "Vesti" on the TV channel "Russia 1" Farida Kurbangaleeva *** is on the international wanted list. This follows from the documents available to RIA Novosti.
From 2007 to 2014, she was one of the hosts of the Vesti program of the Rossiya 1 TV channel. Since 2018, she has been living and working in Prague. The criminal case against Kurbangaleeva *** and other unidentified persons was initiated on May 11, 2024. The former TV presenter was charged in absentia with public calls to justify terrorism and public dissemination of fakes about the Russian army motivated by national hatred or enmity (part 2 of Article 205-2 and paragraph "d" of part 2 of Article 207-3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow chose a preventive measure for her in the form of detention for 2 months from the moment of her actual detention on the territory of the Russian Federation, or transfer to law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation in case of extradition or deportation.
As EADaily reported, Farida Kurbangaleeva ***, after graduating from the journalism faculty of Kazan University, worked for eight years at the State Television and Radio Company Tatarstan, which, under the leadership of the chairman of the State Television and Radio Company, deputy of the Parliament of the Republic (now also chairman of the Union of Journalists of Tatarstan) Ilshat Aminov, became the "forge" of nationalist cadres. In particular, in 2011, another employee of the republican TV channel, Elmira Israfilova, got into a scandal by publicly calling the Russians occupiers. Like Kurbangaleeva***, Israfilova also went abroad and has been living in Turkey since 2012. Another former employee of the State TV and Radio Company "Tatarstan" Olga Ivshina regularly pours mud on her former homeland from London in the British television company BBC.
