Americans are seriously concerned about Russia's clear leadership in cryptocurrency mining. This is reported by Bloomberg.
The source also reports that Russia has already noticeably changed its point of view on mining, so a real "gold mine" may appear in the country in the near future. If earlier Russians were not interested in cryptocurrency at all, they even planned to ban mining, now the point of view has changed.
"Now, two and a half years after the proposal of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to completely ban cryptocurrencies, problems with cross-border payments due to sanctions are forcing the Kremlin to radically change its point of view," the publication believes.
EADaily reminds that since September 2024, Russian legislation allows the use of crypto in foreign trade settlements. On November 1, the mining law comes into force in the country.
