In Kazakhstan, the activities of a criminal group engaged in the sale of children were stopped

Operatives of the Department for Combating Organized Crime (UBOP) of the Police Department (DP) of the Almaty region stopped the activities of a criminal group selling newborns and underage children, the press service of the DP reports.

According to law enforcement officers, this became known on August 25. When checking the information, it turned out that in the social network "surak.baribar" there is a criminal group engaged in criminal activities under the guise of legal adoption and adoption of minors and newborn children.

"On August 28, during the operational search activities, the regional UBOP officers identified a 38-year-old suspect who is a native of Kyzylorda region," the police said.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact. The suspect was taken into custody. An investigation is underway.
