Tbilisi dismisses ambassadors in European countries and in UN and NATO offices

The Government of Georgia dismisses ambassadors to Switzerland and the United Kingdom, as well as representatives of Georgia in the UN, NATO and other international organizations in Geneva.

The decree was signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on August 26.

Viktor Dolidze will leave the post of Georgia's representative to NATO on September 21.

Revaz Lominadze will complete his work as Ambassador to the Swiss Confederation on October 1;.Alexander Maisuradze will be relieved of his post as permanent Representative to the UN offices and other international organizations in Geneva on October 1;

Sofo Katsarava is to leave the post of Ambassador of Georgia to The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization on October 15.

According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the reason for the release of diplomats was the expiration of their term of office and the planned rotation.
