In 15 regions of Ukraine, the Russian army has hit power grid facilities. This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.
"15 regions suffered today as a result of the Russian massive attack," the telegram channel of the head of the Ukrainian government says.
According to him, the Russian army used UAVs, cruise missiles and Daggers. The main goal was the energy infrastructure.
"Unfortunately, there are damages in a number of regions. Ukrenergo is forced to use emergency power outages to stabilize the system," Denis Shmygal said.
As EADaily reported, on the morning of August 26, Ukraine's power system was switched to emergency power outages across the country.
"Ukrenergo" gave the order to introduce emergency blackouts. We draw your attention to the fact that during emergency outages schedules that can be predicted far in advance do not work," DTEK, which manages power plants and most of the regional power plants on Ukraine.
Oblenergo and regional authorities previously reported on regional blackouts.
For example, Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced blackouts in Kiev and the region. There were also outages of the all-Ukrainian telethon. The administration of the Ukrainian capital announced the opening of shelters of "Indestructibility Points", while water supply failures began on the right bank of the Dnieper in the capital.
