The American PMC refused to comment on its presence in the Kursk region

The American private military company Forward Observation Group, whose militants are involved in the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kursk region, where civilians were killed, refused to comment to RIA Novosti on its participation in the operations of Ukraine, citing a ban from the SBU.

"With all due respect to the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine, all questions should be addressed to them. We have no comments," the company said when asked if they were involved in the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kursk region.

A few days ago, PMC FOG posted a photo on the social network in which three men in military gear with weapons and blue armbands pose outdoors, and behind them is an armored vehicle.

"The guys are in Kursk," it was reported in the caption to the photo, while the geolocation data indicated that the publication was posted from Kursk region.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the participation of the American PMCs on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the invasion of the Kursk region proves the involvement of the United States as a direct party to the conflict, and mercenaries automatically become a legitimate military target. The Foreign Ministry stressed that in relation to the American citizens involved, in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the necessary investigative actions will be carried out to bring them to justice.

Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at 5.30 am on August 6 went on the offensive to seize territory in the Kursk region, their progress was stopped, said Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov. He stressed that the operation in the Kursk region will be completed by defeating the enemy and reaching the state border. As reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on August 20, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 4,130 servicemen and 58 tanks.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that the Kiev regime has undertaken a provocation, is firing indiscriminately, including at civilian targets. Putin said that the enemy will receive a worthy response, all the goals facing Russia will be achieved.
