The Belaya Rus party will support the current president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, if he "expresses his political will to run for a new term." This was stated by the head of the political organization Oleg Romanov.
According to him, from the very foundation, Belaya Rus has been focused "on supporting the president's political course."
"Our association is a reliable support of the president, our association is a force that protects the national interests of Belarus both inside the country and on the external circuit," Romanov stressed.
Alexander Lukashenko has been president of Belarus since 1994. The next presidential elections are to be held in 2025. Earlier, Lukashenka stated that he was not going to "abandon" Belarusians yet.
