Polish retired General Waldemar Skshipchak in an interview with "Fact" commented on the sporadic tension in relations between Greece and Turkey, which are members of NATO.
According to the former commander of the Polish ground forces, despite membership in the North Atlantic Alliance, mutual relations between Turkey and Greece are far from ideal. General Valdemar Skshipchak gave a forecast about the possible consequences of the conflict between the two allies.
"NATO cannot participate in conflicts between members. He should strive to ensure that all disputes end in the diplomatic, not military sphere. If a war breaks out between NATO members, NATO will probably pack its bags. There will be those who support Turkey and those who support Greece in the alliance," General Skshipchak said in an interview with Fact.
Today, according to the Polish military commander, the entire North Atlantic Treaty Organization is watching with interest the improvement of relations between Greece and Turkey. If an open conflict arose between these countries, it would be the worst scenario for the entire NATO, the general repeated.
"It will be the collapse of NATO! This is what Putin is waiting for!", — the Russophobic general believes.
