Several Arab military killed and injured as Tiyas Military Airbase (T-4 Airbase) located in Homs province was targeted in a missile attack on Sunday night, SANA reports. According to the source, Syrian air defense systems intercepted at least 8 projectiles.
The Damascus government says the attack was probably made by U.S. force in the region. No other sources have confirmed the reports on the missile attack yet.
The U.S. Department of Defense has dismissed the reports: “At this time, the Department of Defense is not conducting air strikes in Syria. However, we continue to closely watch the situation and support the ongoing diplomatic efforts to hold those who use chemical weapons, in Syria and otherwise, accountable.”
Earlier, on April 8, U.S. President Donald Trump said Syrian government will “pay a big price” for alleged chemical attack on Douma, East Ghouta.
A year ago, on April 7, U.S. targeted Shayrat Airbase controlled by the Syrian government with cruise missiles after reports on alleged chemical attack by Syrian government on Khan Sheikhoun town, Idlib province.
