The Government of the Russian Federation has excluded the holding of a solemn concert on May 9 on Red Square in Moscow from the action plan for the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The corresponding order was signed by the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, it is published on the official government portal of legal information.
The previous version of the document was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in May last year. According to her, the concert and fireworks were listed in the third item of the action plan.
Responsibility for their implementation was assigned to several departments, including the Presidential Administration, the presidential administration, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Moscow government and The State Kremlin Palace.
In the updated version of the third item of the action plan, only fireworks remained. No other changes were made. So far, there is no official information about the reasons for the changes. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers does not comment on this fact.
